Terms of Use

These terms are between you and FRUM Inception Inc., Ottawa, Ontario, Canada ("we", "us"), the maker of Knowmii Productions. By installing or using the app you agree to them.

1. Using the app

While your subscription is active, you may use Knowmii Productions on up to 2 of your own Macs for personal or business video work, including videos you make for clients. You may not sell, rent or redistribute the app, share your license key, try to get around the license check, or remove our name from it.

2. Subscription, billing and cancelling

Knowmii Productions is sold as a monthly subscription. Payment is taken by Polar (polar.sh), our reseller and merchant of record, under Polar's terms. Your subscription renews each month on the day you started, until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your Polar customer page; the app keeps working until the end of the month you've paid for. Prices are shown before you pay, and sales tax is added where it applies.

Your license key is for you (or your business) and works on up to 2 Macs at once. Please don't share it. When a subscription ends, its key stops working; your projects and finished videos stay on your Mac. Refund requests are handled case by case. Email us.

3. Early access

Knowmii Productions is in early access. Features may change, and things may not always work as expected. Always keep your original footage. The app never changes or deletes your original clips, but you should keep your own backups.

4. Your content

Your videos are yours. We do not claim any rights to them. You are responsible for what you make and publish, including having the rights to the footage, music, photos and people that appear in it.

5. AI suggestions

The edit plan, titles, descriptions, chapters, captions, translations, thumbnail text and Shorts suggestions are made by AI and can be wrong. Review everything before you publish it.

6. Other services you connect

Claude (Anthropic): the AI features use your own Anthropic account and API key. Anthropic's terms apply, and you pay Anthropic directly for what you use.

YouTube: by connecting your channel and uploading through the app, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. YouTube's own limits apply, such as daily upload limits and the phone check needed for custom thumbnails and long videos.

We are not responsible for these services, their availability, or changes they make.

7. Privacy

How the app handles information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

8. No warranty

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

9. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost footage, lost income, account actions by third-party services, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from using the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes and ending

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. You can stop at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting the app. We may end a subscription that breaks these terms, for example a shared key.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
